Whale Guide
 
 

WhaleGuide was initially designed as a touch-screen exhibit for Alaska’s Petersburg Marine Mammal Center. It’s received rave reviews from visitors and teachers. Plans are underway to purchase a portable computer and projection system so the Center can take the exhibit on the road to schools in Alaska. Teachers are impressed with WhaleGuide and have been asking for a CD version, including a teacher’s guide and curriculum for the classroom. As an exhibit, WhaleGuide is an easily customizable platform that can be tailored to the specific needs of interpretive centers, aquaria and museums.

WhaleGuide covers humpback & killer whales, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises and Pacific white-sided dolphins. It includes 85 screens, revealing astonishing details about anatomy, behaviors, social structures, migration, evolution, life cycles, diets, feeding techniques, conservation issues and more. Navigate through the screens to view detailed photos and illustrations, watch amazing videos, hear remarkable sounds and discover fascinating facts in the accompanying text.
