The Petersburg Marine Mammal Center works as a liaison to traveling researchers by supporting them in the area of logistics, communication services, financial support, as well as fieldwork assistance. The Center is also available as a briefing or conference room for group discussion, data analysis, and presentations. By acting as a home base for researchers and a disseminator of information to the public, the PMMC is an important part of the continuing research of marine mammals in the Frederick Sound area.
Below is a list of researchers who conduct research in the Southeast Alaska. Many of these researchers use the facilities at the PMMC and are advisors of this organization.
